The blessings and the burdens weigh the same. – Steven Furtick
Today’s podcast is all about pressure! Every leader at every level feels the weight and pressure of leadership at some point or another; what matters is how we handle it – and more importantly, how we prepare for it.
As we grow in our leadership, the pressure seems to grow with us. We often think we just need more money, a bigger house or a promotion to be happier and take the pressure off – but the opposite is true. Often the higher you climb and the more success you have, the heavier the weight of pressure can feel.
Today we’re talking about how leaders can lean in to the pressure as opposed to the alternative – letting the pressure slowly break you down. Listen in as we break down three ways that leaders can practically handle the pressure of leadership.
- Keep your focus
- Ask for help
- Take care of yourself
Why is this conversation important? Because the world needs us, as leaders, to do what we were called to do. If we let pressure break us down, who will carry our mission forward and make an impact in the world?
Question: What burdens of leadership have you felt recently? How are you managing those expectations for success?
